Epyphillum - Queen of the Night

You might have noticed that Jen and I have been getting into the garden in a big way. We don't spend a lot,
but we put a lot of effort into growing all of these wierd and wonderful things that make their way in.
Well, here is a rescued plant that has come good. The species is Epyphillum and the exact plant is called
"Queen of the Night". Quite a strange plant, and it flowers at night with a very heady perfume from the flowers -
mainly to try and attract the bats that pollinate the plant (I kid you not :) Very happy with this one - a great success.

Not a very salubrious location, but we needed to keep it out of the direct sun until we knew what was going to happen. Voila - it's 11pm and after a two hour wait they have opened up fully.
